Resolved Question: State Law Ends Spanish Tests would you agree if federal law requires english for commercial license same for?
OKLAHOMA CITY — A new state law that took effect Nov. 1 will prevent the waste of taxpayer dollars on Spanish-language drivers’ tests, the bill’s author said.

“In a year of budget cuts, it makes no sense to spend extra money on Spanish-language drivers’ tests that serve no legitimate public policy purpose,” state Rep. Randy Terrill said. “Proving this special accommodation to non-English speakers indirectly encourages illegal immigration and prevents assimilation of legal immigrants.”

House Bill 2252, by Terrill and state Sen. Anthony Sykes, repealed the requirement for the Department of Public Safety to provide driver’s license tests in Spanish. The bill went into effect on Nov. 1.

Drivers who cannot read or speak English pose a public safety risk, Terrill said.

The risk associated with non-English-proficient drivers is one reason the federal law requires individuals seeking a commercial license for interstate commerce to “read and speak the English language.”

Oklahoma House Bill 2252 was prompted, in part, by a federal investigation after allegations Oklahoma violated the civil rights of two Iranian immigrants who were not provided written driver’s license exams in Farsi, the dominant language of Iran.

The state has received multiple foreign-language requests since that time.

Terrill noted the cost of providing driver’s tests in foreign languages is between $25,000 and $50,000 per language, per year.

State Law Ends Spanish Tests would you agree if federal law requires being able to read and speak the English language for commercial license for interstate commerce then same must be for regular drivers license as well ?http://www.koco.com/news/21503137/detail.html

Resolved Question: What do you think of Marcus Jordan not able to wear his fathers shoes brand?

I think it’s kind of dumb, because it’s his dad’s shoes. Although, I think it kind of messes it up for the school because the school gets support from Adidas. I just wanted to ask your opinion on it.

Bonus Question: Wasn’t Marcus going to quit basketball, because there was bigger things in his life?

Bonus Question 2: Top worst 3 teams in the NBA this season will be…?

Bonus Question 3: Give me a team that’s not your favorite, but that you seem to like. Example for me, my favorite is the San Antonio Spurs followed by the Orlando Magic. Although a team I really like is the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Have a great day!
Oh crap, I forgot about Jeff Jordan. Nevermind about the first bonus question.

Open Question: I was wondering what the worlds oldest mother dough still in use is.?
Mother dough is the little ball of bread dough saved after a batch to re-use the yeast for the next batch of bread. Most good bakeries have mother dough for the majority of their bread types. I was wondering if anyone had a lead on the oldest mother dough in the world. I have seen one that was 120 years old and had traveled from Hungary all the way to Oklahoma, and have heard of even older ones. Google has yielded nothing but dead news links, per usual.

Resolved Question: Is 2009 the year that the climate warm-mongers were finally defeated?
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ibd/20091120/bs_ibd_ibd/20091120issues01
As scientists confirm the earth has not warmed at all in the past decade, others wonder how this could be and what it means for Copenhagen. Maybe Al Gore can Photoshop something before December.

It will be a very cold winter of discontent for the warm-mongers. The climate show-and-tell in Copenhagen next month will be nothing more than a meaningless carbon-emitting jaunt, unable to decide just whom to blame or how to divvy up the profitable spoils of climate change hysteria.

The collapse of the talks coupled with the decision by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid to put off the Kerry-Boxer cap-and-trade bill, the Senate’s version of Waxman-Markey, until the spring thaw has led Oklahoma Sen. James Inhofe, the leading Republican on the Environment and Public Works Committee, to declare victory over Sen. Barbara Boxer, D-Calif., and the triumph of observable fact over junk science.

Open Question: Give me tips for my essay?
It is the moment that every player wants. Last year, it was Sam Bradford of Oklahoma. His name was called, and it will forever be remembered in history. He won the Heisman trophy. He became the 74th Heisman trophy winner, following Tim Tebow of Florida.
Looking at this year, many consider there to be many candidates. The front runners are considered to be Colt McCoy of Texas, Tim Tebow of Florida, Toby Gerhart of Stanford, Mark Ingram of Alabama, and CJ Spiller of Clemson.
Colt McCoy finished second in the voting last year. Last year, McCoy completed over 77% of his passes. He also threw for over 3,800 yards and 34 touchdowns. As of right now, he has thrown for 3,024 yards and 23 touchdowns. His passer rating is also down 20 points, from 173 to 152. Also, he has the Texas Longhorns at 11-0 with two games left, Texas A&M and the Big 12 championship game.
Tim Tebow was the 2007 Heisman Trophy winner. He is trying to be only the second player to repeat, the other being Archie Griffin of Ohio State in the mid 1970s’. Tebow has thrown for over 1,900 yards, which is less than he has thrown the previous two years. In 2008, he threw for 2,746 yards and in 2007, he threw for 3,286 yards. Tebow has also thrown for fewer touchdown passes. This year he has thrown for only 14 touchdowns while last year he threw for 30 touchdowns and in 2007, he threw for 32 touchdowns. This year, Tebow has rushed for 706 yards rushing and 11 touchdowns.
Toby Gerhart, a running back from Stanford, is second in the nation in rushing yards. He has rushed for 1,531 yards so far with a game against Notre Dame left. Gerhart has rushed for 23 touchdowns, he is also averaging 5.4 yards per carry. Gerhart is considered to be a main reason why Stanford has made a turnaround. Stanford was 5-7 last year, right now they are 7-4.
Last year, Alabama was one win away from making the National Championship. This year, they are in the same boat except they are two wins away. Many say that Mark Ingram is a major contributor to this. He has rushed for 1,399 yards and 12 touchdowns. He has also caught 25 passes for 225 yards and three touchdowns. Ingram is averaging 6.8 yards per carry this year. His best performance came against South Carolina where he rushed 24 times for 246 yards and one touchdown. Earlier this year, sports analysts were saying Mark Ingram was the front runner.
Much was expected from CJ Spiller coming out of high school because he was the number one player in Florida and the number eight player in the country. Spiller has rushed for 894 yards and seven touchdowns. Also, he caught 29 passes for 421 yards and three touchdowns. As a returner, he has four touchdowns, one on a punt return and three on kick returns. Spiller has also passed for one touchdown. Spiller is considered the best all-purpose player in the league.
On December 14, 2009 one player will be named the 2009 Heisman Trophy winner. Their name will go down in history and be mentioned with some of the great players including Tony Dorsett, Archie Griffin, Doug Flutie, and Billy Sims. These players all still have at least one more game to make their case.

Resolved Question: Should an NFL team relocate to San Antonio or Oklahoma City?
There’s a ton of talk about LA but I feel after losing 2 NFL teams already and not showing great support LA doesn’t deserve another football team. Unless it’s the Chargers to keep the divisions the way it is. Infact since LA lost its teams in 1994 the NFL has only gotten more succesful

Well, the Jacksonville Jaguars are among talks of relocating since they’ve had to blackout all their games and the market hasn’t bloomed the way the NFLs wanted it too.

The divisions in the NFL are setup perfectly the way they are.

If the Jaguars move to SA or OKC than they will be able to stay in the AFC South and continue the perfect alignment.

San Antonio already has an NFL stadium built and is more of a football city who’s already shown they can support a pro sports franchise by showing great support for their NBA team the Spurs. The only problem is believed that the Cowboys wouldn’t like this and it’d be hard to split their fan base but the Texans started up in Houston with the Cowboys already and the NBA has 3 teams in Texas it’d be great for 3 NFL teams there I believe as well. San Antonio would be a great football city.

Oklahoma City is a blooming market and is in the heart of football land in Oklahoma. They just gained an NBA franchise the Thunder and have shown great support for them. Oklahoma City is a rising city and is an area of the country that loves football.

So should an NFL team relocate to San Antonio or Oklahoma City?

Resolved Question: Roadtripping through Chicago….is it worth it?
My friends and I are road tripping to see our friend who now attends the University of Wisconsin. We’re leaving Oklahoma City and going through Tulsa, St. Louis, and both Springfields. Along the way, we’re mostly looking to see either big monuments or sports stadiums, and we were wondering if it was worth the trouble of going through Chicago traffic just to stop by and take pictures in front of a few monuments. I’ve been in Chicago before and I know the traffic there can be murder, and we’ll be there mid-morning on a Friday. So is it worth it, or will it take too much of our time?

Resolved Question: Where were you during 9/11? The ongoing sequel…?
I was in my first year of college. I had no cell phone. Internet news and rumors traveled much slower than they do now. I was the typical college slacker, oversleeping. My mom called me and woke me up telling me to turn on the tv. I turned it on just in time to see the second WTC tower standing alone, with a smoking hole in it. And seconds later it fell. Upon finding out that planes had been flown into the towers, I realized this was no accident. I was angry and shocked and did not know what was going to happen next.

I went to my college algebra class. Predictably, all anybody could talk about was the attacks, not yet given the moniker “9/11″. Unaware that this day would live on notoriously by name alone. The professor came in gloomily and said nothing about it. After the class, the campus was closed due to the extremely unpredictable events at the time. Nobody knew where a plane would fall next, which building may get hit. Then the planes stopped flying altogether. It was an odd sensation outside as it was eerily quiet. No planes overhead for once in this suburban Texas city. I remember back in 1995 when the Oklahoma City bombing happened, I felt a similar eerie silence in the air everywhere I went, though planes still buzzed about. Something foul had happened, the mood punctuated like never before on those days.

Resolved Question: (Spoilers) Detailed WWE RAW Results For Next Monday?
WWE RAW SPOILERS — PAGE ONE
Airdate: Monday, July 6, 2009

Ted DiBiase Sr. was in charge. He came out as a heel, but he actually got one of the best reactions of the night as people saw him as a returning legend. He came out with Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase Jr. so he’d get a heel reaction, but the people didn’t get it. Somewhere in the middle of the promo people caught on he was playing heel.

He announced Chris Jericho & Edge vs. Ted DiBiase & Cody Rhodes for the tag titles at Night of Champions. Apparently there is a moratorium as from next week forward there can be no title matches on television until the PPV. He also announced Rhodes vs. Mark Henry and DiBiase vs. Randy Orton. Neither were happy about that news.

Edge & Jericho b Colons in a non-title match. Not nearly as good as the match on TV tonight. Ref Marty Elias was distracted by Primo, and Jericho used the codebreaker on Carlito followed by a spear by Edge and Edge pinned Carlito. Carlito turned on Primo after the match, pounding on him and throwing him over the announcers’ table. Fans quickly realized Carlito was a heel.

Gail Kim & Mickie James b Maryse & Alicia Fox when Kim pinned Maryse after a kick to the face. Some really funny crowd reactions all night. Most of the people in my section at ringside were asking when did Gail Kim come from TNA. It was clear all night that a very small percentage of the fans here watch Smackdown
, ECW or Superstars.

Cody tried to pay off DiBiase to get him out of the match. That didn’t work. Somewhere in here Ted cut a promo about how he’s mad because Dusty Rhodes is in the Hall of Fame and he isn’t, and he was a hell of a lot better than Dusty. He also told Cody that he was going to put him in polka dota.

Mark Henry b Cody Rhodes via count out. World’s strongest slam and Rhodes walked out. Henry got no reaction coming out even though he got a good reaction not that much earlier pinning Orton. People did cheer him after winning but not like a star.

Randy Orton b Ted DiBiase with the RKO. Good match, clean pin in the middle.

MVP VIP Lounge with Jack Swagger to start a new feud. Funny line as Swagger was bragging about going to the University of Oklahoma and MVP said, “That’s because you couldn’t get into a better school.” MVP was all over Swagger for walking out of his match against Orton and that’s not something an All-American would do. Swagger said MVP attended Florida State, that is Florida state prison. He called him a phony and a fraud. MVP gave the speech about how he hung with the wrong crowd, made mistakes, paid his debt to society while Swagger acted all bored. MVP, who wasn’t over at all on the first show, took off his jewelry and the place got into him pretty big. He wanted a fight, but Swagger mentioned that he doesn’t fight criminals. Effective segment.

Ted DiBiase and his dad argued backstage. I didn’t get the gist of it, but probably Ted said he was trying to teach his son a lesson. Ted Jr. thought his dad set him up to fail and slapped his dad hard. This was good as well.

Evan Bourne b Kofi Kingston in a non-title match with the shooting star press. Post-match saw Big Show destroy both guys, spearing Bourne and putting the camel clutch on Kingston. Bourne-Kingston had some early athletic stuff but too fast.

John Cena did a backstage promo and was booed heavy.

HHH NC Cena to get the title shot. Cena in his promo said they would be doing a Wrestlemania match. They did a very good match, probably just under a PPV quality match. I’d say crowd was 75% pro-HHH, which was weird because in show one, HHH got a faded star reaction and Cena was the only guy in the first show who came off to the live crowd like they were a big star. Here the crowd was strong into the entire match and booed the hell out of Cena. As they were building the finish, Rhodes & DiBiase ran in to end it. Orton then said that since they both lost, he doesn’t have to defend against either. Ted Sr. then said he was wrong, as he saw it that neither lost and he was ordering a three-way at the Night of Champions.

After the taping was over, Cena did a promo telling the fans that they had just seen a great show and had just seen a Wrestlemania main event. He said people could remember that they saw the best match they had ever seen in their lives. I was about to throw up when he delivered that line. People were with him. He said Rhodes & DiBiase ruined Wrestlemania and wanted all three to come down and apologize. After calling them cowards, they got in the ring. Orton was in HHH & Cena’s face when DiBiase & Rhodes bailed out without Orton knowing. Show ended with an Attitude Adjustment by Cena and pedigree by HHH on Orton, and then Ted Sr. came back out and slapped Ted Jr. in the face.
what are your thoughts?

Resolved Question: Has anybody seen anything about this on the news?
Firestorm Brewing Between US States and Federal Government

http://www.australia.to/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=5912:firestorm-brewing-between-us-states-and-federal-government-&catid=91:ope&Itemid=122

Could this be an ominous shadow drawing on the end of the United States of America? For years the Federal Government has presumed to be the all-powerful force governing our country, but it just could be that the Federal Government only exists at the pleasure of the state governments and the citizens thereof. States declaring sovereignty sounds like an act of secession and revolution. However the federal government can apparently be dissolved and another one formed anew at the discretion of the states. The existing Federal government may not leave willingly like so many European governments that are replaced routinely and it may engage a military effort with our own soldiers or the likes of a Black Water illegal military invasion to retain total control over us.

United States Federal Government laws are often in violation of the Tenth Amendment, which is perturbing, these events. This is predicated on an earlier provision of the Articles of Confederation, which states that, “Each state retains its sovereignty, freedom, and independence, and every power, jurisdiction, and right, which is not by this Confederation [now Federation] expressly delegated to the United States, in Congress assembled.”

A growing number of states are declaring their sovereignty afforded under the U S Constitution’s Tenth Amendment however the conventional news media are not telling you about what is happening. The State of Washington on Wednesday - 11 February 2009 and most recently, New Hampshire [2009], Montana [2009], Hawaii [2009], Michigan [2009], Missouri [2009], Arizona [2008], Oklahoma [2008], Georgia [1996], and California [1994] all of which have introduced bills and resolutions declaring and reaffirming their sovereignty. Some other states have done this in the past but then let the issue go. Additionally, the states of Colorado, Hawaii, Pennsylvania, Arkansas, Idaho, Indiana, Alaska, Kansas, Alabama, Nevada, Maine, and Illinois are considering similar measures. More well may follow, such as Wyoming and Mississippi.
Adam B, how about um… education, abortion, the war on drugs, agriculture, etc?
