Let’s be logical. Has there ever been an example in North American sports history where a team has moved to a city, failed, and then moved back to its original city? NO! So why does everyone seem to think that this will happen to Oklahoma City when: 1. Capacity for NBA games in Oklahoma City has never dipped below 90% (except in extreme weather conditions, such as icy roads). 2. The city actually boosted itself as the top contender for the next NBA team when the New Orleans Hornets were amongst the top 12 in league attendance. 3. Oklahoma City just overwhelmingly approved an new upgrade for the Ford Center. I can see why everyone is mad, but I think that everyone’s anger is directed at the wrong people! Do not blame Oklahoma City for taking the Sonics! Instead, blame Greg Nichols, Howard Schultz (the man PRIMARILY RESPONSIBLE) and Clay Bennett. Your thoughts? Wayman Tisdale, a three-time All-American at Oklahoma who played 12 seasons in the NBA and later became a top jazz musician, died after a two-year battle with cancer. He was 44. Tisdale died Friday morning at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, hospital spokeswoman Joy McGill said. Edit: I don’t know too much about his basketball career. I know him best from his career in the “Smooth Jazz” industry. Dude is practically a house hold name in San diego California! I use to listen to his music when I was stationed in SD at the Naval School Of Health Sciences. For a former basketball player turned bass player, he could most definitely hold his own with the best out here. RIP bro! You and your music will be truly missed. Why on earth would they start testing possible vaccines on little kids? A quick Google search will turn it up. It’s been reported on quite a few different news sites. They will start in Oklahoma City with children ages 3 to 8. They can’t possibly know that a vaccine churned out that fast won’t have lasting effects. Would you trust this to be safe? Resolved Question: Where were you during 9/11? The ongoing sequel…? I went to my college algebra class. Predictably, all anybody could talk about was the attacks, not yet given the moniker “9/11″. Unaware that this day would live on notoriously by name alone. The professor came in gloomily and said nothing about it. After the class, the campus was closed due to the extremely unpredictable events at the time. Nobody knew where a plane would fall next, which building may get hit. Then the planes stopped flying altogether. It was an odd sensation outside as it was eerily quiet. No planes overhead for once in this suburban Texas city. I remember back in 1995 when the Oklahoma City bombing happened, I felt a similar eerie silence in the air everywhere I went, though planes still buzzed about. Something foul had happened, the mood punctuated like never before on those days.
